I’m not a truck guy… not at all. I don’t even like to drive the Mazda SUV we have… I much prefer small cars.
However, I can understand the appeal of a pickup truck for those who have a genuine use for one. If I were in the trades, or an active boatbuilding hobbyist (or even professional), a pickup truck would be invaluable.
So, I’m wondering what you truck guys think of the Tesla thing. It strikes me as especially unappealing… I’m guessing that the configuration of the bed isn’t at all practical, for hauling stuff.
Aside from the practicality, it strikes me as being butt-f#$k ugly. There are vehicle shapes whose beauty transcends time; consider the Jaguar XKE as one of the best examples… it’s been beautiful for decades.
The Tesla abomination, to me, looks like a prop from some direct-to-the-discount-bin DVD of some late 1960’s grade B sci fi film.
