What does it say about a person if he, or she, is sexually excited by the statue?
If they are not, it ain't pornographic.

Obviously they never saw the bumper sticker that say "If god had wanted us to be naked,we'd have been born that way".
A couple of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe photos would make their brains melt.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.
The power of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web
The weakness of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web.

Symphony Hall in Boston would be off limits in Florida. There are several nude statues around the hall. Then there is the Museum of Fine Arts, also in Boston. At one of the entrances there is or was a life size bronze statue, the "Bacchante", a very well proportioned nude young lady, dancing with a bunch of grapes in one hand and an eager infant in the other grabbing for the grapes. Wow. I hope she is still there. Massachusetts is that kind of place.
Maybe Spain has a return policy. We bought it, we tried it out for awhile, and it's really not for us. I wouldn't ask for our money back.....
In the Dewey Decimal Classification, Class 200 is for Religion.
210 Philosophy and theory of religion
220 The Bible
230 Christianity
240 Christian practice and observance
250 Christian orders and local church
260 Social and ecclesiastical theology
270 History of Christianity
280 Christian denominations
290 Other religions
Seems to me, that compared to Christianity, the other religions were shorted.
It was a sign of the times. The beauty of the Dewey Decimal system is it is good to at least 4 places of decimal, and so the 290's could have 10 times as many books as 220 - 280, and not run out of numbers.
This pretty much sums up my experience with charter schools, and is much more than a throwaway line in the article. She was the school’s third principal since it opened in the fall of 2020, per the Tallahassee Democrat.
I haven't dealt much with charter schools, but admin retirements in U.S. public schools are way up since COVID hit, too:
SourceSixteen percent of public school principals retired or quit in the 2021-22 school year, according to a new survey from the Rand Corp. That’s more than double the rate from the year before.

Life is complex.
Anyone who snickers at the sight of a naked person has problems.
I blame the parents...
Meanwhile 6th graders are playing Call of duty and GTA and then bringing their parents guns into school shooting teachers and other students, but Epic Renaissance art NO WAY![]()

If I posted a pic of that sculpture on here I would probably get banned. Let me know if I am mistaken.
Go figure.

I took this photo in Florence and if I get banned then I’m done with place. Art has always been the most important thing in my life.

I suppose a good rule of thumb may be:
If it falls, it's your call.
If it stands, then it's banned.

Children of uncontacted peoples that hadn't been exposed to outside religions probably wouldn't care at all about nudity. It comes down to how the children were raised.
A Florence museum has invited parents and students from a Florida charter school to view Michelangelo’s David in person.
It comes after the school principal was forced to resign following parental complaints that an image of the nude Renaissance masterpiece was shown to a sixth-grade art class.
Florence Mayor Dario Nardella also tweeted an invitation for the principal to visit so he can personally honor her.
Confusing art with pornography was “ridiculous", Mr Nardella said.
The incredulous Italian response highlights how the US culture wars are often perceived in Europe, where despite a rise in right-wing sentiment and governance, the Renaissance and its masterpieces, even its naked ones, are generally free of controversy.
The Italians are responding to the board of the Tallahassee Classical School forcing Principal Hope Carrasquilla to resign last week.
The school has a policy requiring parents to be notified in advance about “controversial” topics being taught.
without freedom of speech, we wouldn't know who the idiots are.
Amazing how this has created so much more fuss than kids getting shot in school.America is a strange place.
