Personally, I liked Doug. Even if he could be a troll and I didn't always agree with him. He was interesting.

It was fun when he would set himself up as Aunt Sally!

FWIW Rum Pirate and I weirdly got along. As a matter of fact during my last trip to banned camp he was the first one to email me directly to ask whats up. We had a little back and forth and he's always been very polite and cool.

He specifically said he wont return because his conservative voice is not tolerated here.

So back in 2017 he was going on about someone that owed him money and done him wrong, I forget the details. Anyway he went down some personal responsibility conservative mumbo jumbo rabbit hole. I bet him a dollar that the event would not go the way he assumed it would go.

Long story short a week or so later I got a letter in the mail with a St Kits postmark and a fresh $1 bill. I still have the letter and the bill.
So any guy that hold up the end of his wager is alright in my book, even if we don't see eye to eye on most issues.
