Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
Warm, dry, fed, safe and loved. Should be enough.
Long live the rights of man.
heh. same dynamic here.
and even though fergus "chases" penny under the deck, or up a tree, on the regular, at the end of the day, all she has to do is tell him "enough!" and he has to stop.
and then she does the rubbing figure eight around his legs. and leaves him a few bites of her food. and sleeps within paw reach on the couch some nights.
Awww
"everybody, needs somebody, sometimes..."
We had 4 cats (all gone now). The tabby would be sitting on a chair and see the little black cat walk by. You could see the light come on and the tabby would jump down, launch himself at the black, and they would run around the house and up the stairs. We'd hear them running around up there and then they'd come charging down the stairs with the little black chasing the tabby. It was all a game. When in the mood, they'd sleep in a pile.
I miss those little guys.

Looks like neither of them is woke
When I had my horse and dog, Sam, Sam would chase the horse then the horse would turn around and chase Sam back. Sometimes Sam would just get in front of and bark at the horse until he got the horse to chase him. Sometimes when Sam was fenced into the backyard, he would sleep right next to the fence with the horse right on the other side.

You need to up your game.
I used to chase my cat around the house. Then I would run away from him, and "hide" by flopping on the spare bed, and covering my head. He would chase me, and jump on me and purr when he "found" me hiding. He was a smart cat, and lots of fun.
