Blueprints for this boat

Hey all , I come across this picture and would love to know if there are any blueprints for this boat or something simlar for a project I'm doing in 3d design.

You might search for "boom boats". Those were used moving logs around in ponds and assembling log booms.

Well looking at log broncs was a rabbit hole....

Phil Bolger published Miniature Steel Tug (not the Microtrawler) in his book 'Boats with an Open Mind'. Offsets and construction drawings are there, enough to get a rendering.

Fascinating. I would love to be proven wrong but I view that 30,000 lb number with skepticism. That's the mass of six modern full-size pickup trucks, or a semi truck and an empty trailer. It doesn't look like it displaces that much or has that much inertia.

Fifteen tons looks possible if about 20' LOA and draws a bit shy of 3' and has truly massive horsepower to get big booms moving.

Not quite as much displacement as your post, but she's short and stout for sure. ( Maybe shoulda been named, Teapot?)

Lots of them around my neck of the woods. Fun design project, I suppose. Although they're pretty much useless for anything other than their intended role

in Wa state these log boats were taxed. the short length that developed were to avoid the higher tax rates. it's fun to watch them working with an opperater that knows how to get the most from this type of work boat.

Is anyone still using/building log broncs? We had one with a tiny diesel at the plywood mill, but it's long gone.

It looks like boom boats are popular with modelers. Why not buy a plastic model and take the lines off?

The Center for Wooden Boats has one of these. I've been on it towing. It's nothing like a log bronc.
