New YouTube video series about CLC Eastport Nesting Pram

Hi,

For anyone who might be interested, I have started a YouTube video series showing my attempt to build the Chesapeake Light Craft Eastport Nesting Pram, from their kit.

I am attempting to show the "pitfalls" or "tips and tricks" that I am running into and/or solving along the way. I have found that sometimes the manual that comes with the kit isn't entirely clear, at least to me, a novice. So the point of these videos is to help anyone else who might run into the same problems (and maybe to mildly entertain you).

I hope this is not viewed as "promotion" - I do not receive any money from these videos due to the very small niche it is in and very few views.

the eastport nesting pram? There isn't much to that kit....Its really basic....

Let me restate that. Its a great little dinghy and a great starting project. I am just saying that there is not a ton of content to create.

No need to insult a new member... It's a boat, mostly wood, and they are building it.

I understand not wanting to insult new members. I did not intend that. I taught boatbuilding for a number of years, I understand the stepping stones and skill building. There is, however, a difference between being insulting and not having enough material for a youtube channel. I did not mean to insult, but there's not much there to document.

To you, certainly, and to me, probably, but to someone who has never built anything, and is interested in building a simple stitch & glue kit boat? I imagine it could be useful (I haven't watched the videos, so not speaking to them specifically). There must be some reason why CLC runs popular workshops where they build their boats (they're running 4 this year for the eastport pram...): people find it useful to get advice, even for such a simple boat.

There could be lots of content. The content could be a lot of what NOT to do, as amateurs tend to do . Folks watch videos of”un boxing” a pair of shoes. Making epoxy filets for the first time was more exciting than the new Jordan kicks, fer me at least . More content than watching people play golf. Okay, not as much content as watching videos of cops behaving badly.

Hey, she has 19 subscribers. Someone out there is interested. I've built 4 boats but I can imagine learning something from this for a first-time builder. I applaud her for building a boat and for documenting it! Good for her!!!
