Default Selway Fisher Breton lugger 25

I have just recently got to know about this cool little boat, searching the internet did not offer much info other than links to Duckworks.

The boat looks like an able coastal cruiser with 4 berths, galley and a separate head. The build looks straightforward multichine, the sharp V in the bow knuckle is formed by two layers of ply.

I do not know much about the dipping lug other than it has a lot of power and has to be reset/"dipped" on each tack but it sure does look the part.

Has anyone heard of someone building one?

There are no photos of her build on his website, so it is unlikely that anyone has started a build.
    Interesting design.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

It’d be worth your while dropping an email to Paul Fisher, he’s very approachable and responsive and will be able to tell you if he’s aware of one having been built: paul@selway-fisher.com ,

It looks like a nice little vessel and I’ll be interested to see what you end up doing with it

Bought the study plan from Duckworks, it is a boat originally designed for the french gentleman, I do not know have he built it.

The build is straightforward ply on frame, only the bow knuckle area due to sharp V entry will require fiddling with plywood cut to strips to match the curvature. The detailed bill of material is included, it would require a forest of metric wood
The power is outboard in a well, inboard diesel is not mentioned.
The bowsprit is optional and stays on the deck.

I like it a lot, a really sturdy little cruiser.
