“To be sure “
“To be sure “
"Oh Sure"
What have you got against the Irish?
There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.
A lot of news articles discuss some situation, only to start a new paragraph with “To be sure “. I have started to detest it.
"At the end of the day..."
To be sure it shows an intellectual poverty, a lack of critical rigor, but at the end of the day who cares?
.....,so it is.

that being said. . .

Pivot.
Surfaced.
Lean in.
There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

Going forward at the end of the day with customer centric over arching corporate drivel.
I'm much easier to live with when I'm alone.
Basically this is all irregardless, hopefully.

It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.
The power of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web

That's how I roll.
Yeah, right.
Surprising how many tv talking heads start their answers with “Look,…”
"Just sayin'"
What's not on a boat costs nothing, weighs nothing, and can't break
Dont'cha no?
You betcha
I never use cliches.
A cliche is like a red rag to a bull to me.
It's all fun and games until Darth Vader comes.
Over thee last few years it seems that "do" has become a semi-adverbial intensifier. As -
"I do think that . . ." rather than "I think that . . ."
"I do wonder if . . ." rather than "I wonder if . . ."
It's almost alway oral, not written.
"To be sure". "So it is".
I live with a woman who was born in Belfast. There's a strong Gaelic avoidance of the foreign, definitive, word "Yes". And a formal "Yes" did not exist in Latin. I guess the definite "Yes" is presumably Germanic.
The first two phrases are not uncommon 'round this house.
...Nowt wrong wi' that. (Though a minor risk to me of "Stage Irishry" when I use 'em, of course. Yes. That is correct, without a doubt )

going forward notwithstanding . . .
and so it goes
When did "ask" become a noun? Why do people say "I have an ask" when they mean a request?
"my bad"
Your bad what? back, knee?
"I am loving it"
You mean you love it.

"I met up with..."
You met- the 'up with' is unnecessary.
We have a new-to-the-game local weather forecaster who should've never been awarded a diploma from whatever school they attend, who can stick the words "as well" in too many places throughout her five minutes of camera time.
Drive safe.
Really? are you TV American, says Moi, Dad. I will take care and drive safely..
