Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
oh wait, adam smith was a scot. . .

Shot themselves in the foot, but the standad of Brit conservative politicians, like ours and Americas has taken a big dive. You can only vote for who the parties put up.
Very good.
IMAGINES VEL NON FUERINT
I watched the video and read a report from the same group, https://www.resolutionfoundation.org...stribution.pdf
Mr. Bell blamed the 80's on inequality and the 2010's for stagnation. He also blamed the US for driving recent inflation. I don't have any opinion on those matters.
But he goes on and says that what has happened in the more or less distant past has long term lingering effects. I agree with him.
Life is complex.
Well, I predict sooner or later they will to have to out-perform the rest of Europe or come back begging with their tail between their legs to join the EU.
Perhaps if they could corner the market on opium distribution?
(The simple calculation of what percentage of your "net worth" is spent on food and housing will tell the tale of the have's and have not's)
Still more fun

Even better.

Now I'm thoroughly depressed, the combination of both of those videos is enough to drive me to take my 16' swampscott dory out into the North Sea and not come back. It's a good thing that I gave it to no 2 son a while back.
Dwedais "Gwirion", nid "Twp"
I think they are both accurate.
We actually know that they are right.

There are similar stats for the US, showing how much average families have lost . .
since the Reagan/Thatcher neoliberal "reforms". . .
it is a cumulative sh__t ton of money.
Having watched the video - I bought (for the first time ever) a copy of the New Statesman - large article with much more detail and some potentially scary numbers - though not out of line with my own experience.
Much to my surprise was the page three editorial on the failures of Rishi Sunak - brutal.

Still more fun - by way of background our beloved government is trying to enact legislation which will abolish any and all rules which were created through the EU.

Some commentary on the meeting -
As we can see, there is no risk of an outbreak of honesty from either of the two main parties - and they're terrified.

It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.
The power of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web
The weakness of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web.
Where’s Nigel Farage? He farted in the elevator then got off to let everyone else enjoy his creation.

Having caused the UK to commit economic suicide, he has no further purpose.

Coarse language.
without freedom of speech, we wouldn't know who the idiots are.
