    Thumbs up Hello all

Hey folks I just found this site and am very excited to start posting up in the upper decks about my boating and boat building dreams. I am very busy these days with my young bride to be and her marriage plans, so it may be a day or two before I get back. In the meanwhile take care !

wow. I was hoping this was the sort of place one could call family friendly but I see in another thread folk posting likenesses of barechested men and women in scanty under things. Very disappointing.

We may not agree on all things, but this group has been very supportive of me after the loss of my wife, and with others who've suffered losses. Our disagreements do not mean we're not friends.

That's a little snarky, but I admit it is also funny.

Being relatively new here myself I can attest to inherent skepticism we have of newbies who are really regulars that have been banned and renamed themselves to get back onto the forum. It sounds like that happens more often than a true newbie joining.
Things can get contentious down here in the bilge, but I would never call it obscene or inappropriate. Some arguments can get pretty heated, but any insults that fly are clean even if a little mean. If you stay away from politics it is generally very friendly down here. The categories other than the bilge are very friendly and helpful, just don't get into a discussion of the best epoxy

Maybe you ought to spend a little time here before you pass judgement.
