    Politicians Want to Keep Money Out of E.S.G. Funds. Could It Backfire?

    States are supposed to act in the best interests of citizens and retirees. Divesting from E.S.G. funds and companies like BlackRock that run them may create legal jeopardy.

    Why on earth would you not want to look at ESG issues as part of your evaluation of a company before investing?

    It is foolish to argue about fiduciary duty for a pension fund that is in the 94th percentile where the 1st percentile is best.

    Presumably,only those who care more about their rate of return than the mess their holdings leave behind.
