Default Help in Identifying this boat.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this boat. I thought possibly Hartley but am unsure, it is of ply construction. I took a rough measurement of 5.4m transom to bow and a very rough measurement of 2.4m at the widest point.

I am trying to work out a few things on it such as its weight so that I can figure out if I need a dual axle or single axle trailer, and also what hp is recommended to power it I believe it had a 75hp on it but am not sure on that.

Although I know it would be alot of work, I was also wondering if it could be extended in length at the rear about 600-800mm. It is not alot of extra length for the work I know, but having a large family it would open up alot more room for us at the rear. Would this affect its handling in a major way?

Any suggestions as to its make, or answers to my other thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    James.

Looks like a Hartley, and maybe the motorcraft version of the TS18. If so, it would likely be around 550kg, so a single axle is okay and 15hp plenty.

But please don't try to lengthen; it won't work. If you need bigger, sell it and buy bigger.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the closest I could come to it was the TS18 Fisherman but there were a few sections of it that just did not look the same which was why I was uncertain although I guess when it was built the builder may have modified little bits of it from the plan I have seen them in quite a few different configurations.

I figured it would change the handling too much to lengthen it which is a shame but it will last us for a little while to enjoy it anyway. My original plan was to build the ninigret I think that was 22ft but this one just happened to come along.

One could put the outboard on an aftermarket bracket… get it outside the boat.
More room inside and better performance.
Look at how so many boats do it now!

I think I may have found the design I believe it to be a Hartley Flareline. Is anyone familiar with these? I am curious as to the hull shape as it is not quite flat underneath it is a little rounded even all the way back at the transom. I am wondering if this is a semi-displacement hull rather than a full on planning hull?
