    Anyone identify with this boat/skiff thanks few were made

    Davis skiffs were, by all accounts, wonderful boats. The Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle used to have one. I worked on it and met a member of the family that built them...(native Alaskan).

    Nice boat. But the thread title says "cedarstrip"--that's not cedar strip construction, it's lapstrake. Cedar planked, yes.

    Beautiful boat, it looks like it has finer lines than the Davis boat I rowed at CWB a number of years ago.

    Chequamegon Boatworks is still around, they’re up in Bayfield, WI now
