This will come as a big surprise to the members of the 574 tribes who have gained official recognition from the U.S. federal government to date.
It's kind of basic reality to recognize that the indigenous peoples of the U.S. did not magically disappear after the frontier was closed and the white folks moved in. Nor did they magically become "white" or non-indigenous when their lands were taken.

This is too easy... and they don't see the irony.
HR's irony meter seems to have given up.

Rusbots seem fairly easy to identify; they come and they go. You wouldn't think it would be worth the effort, but it seems pretty clear that's what they are.
I'd bet that Mr Davies, however, is nothing of the kind; merely a somewhat ornery fellow who's spent a lot of time in China, and who actually has useful and interesting things to say, based in experience few of us have - although his gratuitous slur directed at the Dalai Lama almost made me reconsider.

I do not understand this thread. George. began it with title “rusbots and xibots.” His opening post is a description of them and their behavior on Internet forums. And the second reply to the thread is a completely off-topic, insulting, personal attack on George. Things go downhill from there. Why? What was threatened? And where is the WBF administrator to swat down this sort of thing?
"They have a lot of stupid people that vote in their primaries. They really do. I'm not really supposed to say that but it's an obvious fact. But when stupid people vote, you know who they nominate? Other stupid people." -- James Carville on the plethora of low-quality GQP candidates in the mid-term election.
No need to swat anything down! It is actually amusing to bring up the topic of rusbots and xibots and have one of each immediately self-present for scrutiny.
I am reminded of the '60s when arguments raged about how many commissars could dance on the head of a pin.

I still do not get this. So the thread title and first post stinks of an attack thread and the second reply is nothing but a personal attack. So why is the thread allowed to stand? Forums without an active administrator tend to descend to this sort of thing. But maybe WoodenBoat is simply looking for an excuse to eliminate the Forum as we know it....Originally Posted by P.I.
