It looks like an assortment of cars that float and boats with wheels, and the latter looks a lot drier.

When I was a teenager my family used to go to a lake in northern California to camp and water ski. I remember one afternoon as we were boating, seeing an Amphicar drive down the launch ramp and right into the water without stopping, just drove out into the lake floated, and then kept going. None of us had heard of them before and our flabbers were gasted.

In the bus on my way to school in my final year, I looked out the window into the Meroo creek as we drove over the bridge and spied some slightly older fellers I knew standing waist deep around a vehicle in the middle of the water hole. I eventually managed to find out that they'd bought a really old ex army amphibious vehicle, got it running and drove it straight to the creek- where it promptly stopped running, filled up with water and sat on the bottom.
