NO just NO deep dish pizza is not NOT pizza it's an above marinara swimming pool for rats. There is NO such thing as Deep Dish and Pizza in the same sentence.

Wonder if our old pizza joint will remember us when we head back for the first of many in June and July. Started by my high school physics teacher and hus wife, I don't care about its authenticity, I just care that it was the best pizza I ever tasted, I I have no reason to doubt that it's still as tasty. That's what's great about pizza; there are so many varieties. My personal favorite is New Haven style, probably because that's what I grew up on, but I've had wonderful pizzas of many different stripes. Pizza is a family of foods, not one specific type.

I like deep dish with good sauce, and thin crisp crust cooked in a wood-fired brick oven with fresh red peppers, and hand-tossed with pepperoni and sausage, and small personal pieces stretched by hand with spinach and feta cheese, and...

Don't be boring. They're all good.
