    But if I was going to name a car (or ship) Iain Banks starship names are a delight.

    This thread points out some differences in people. Many consider a car, boat, etc. nothing more than a tool or machine. Then there are others who realize that they can indeed talk to you & react to you. Not saying they can always be understood (hey - can you always understand your opposite gender?) - but the communication is there.

    There are people who won't accept/believe anything paranormal either...
