Cool! It'll be interesting to see how those pan out.

I've heard that there is a tree that grows in South America that produces a sap that might find some use in making tires.

Some fellow named Ford started a plantation for growing those trees, but it didn't work out.

I have no beef with those.

C'mon guys - just roll with it.

    Hmm... guess that went flat.

Interesting concept - hope it's real (& affordable - tire prices are nuts!)

Harvey Firestone made a go of it. The trees even pull CO2 out of the atmosphere.

The article doesn't specify... but humanely and compassionately, I'm sure.

Can you eat your tires when your EV's battery runs down flat before you can get rescued?

This may be truly amazing news. Not just because renewable. IF and ONLY IF, the dust from these tires wearing is not toxic like current tire dust, which causes fish deaths under bridges and puts massive amounts of toxic dust into the environment. One of the many factors causing increase in cancer rates near freeways, it's not just engine emissions.
