Walking the dog looking at the morning light and how vibrant colors are - Nothing much in composition or interest just a color study

CL Beijing (Hong Kong) taking on grain, most likely Palouse wheat, here in Seattle. In the distance, Antares (Majuro) waits her turn. I had to look up Majuro, which I learned is the capital of the Marshall Islands.

Loss of color study here today -- leucistic wild turkey:
IMG_6554.jpg
There were several in this flock. Three were quite white -- though not completely white as can happen and a few others seemed to have partial leucism.
The 'lucys' blend in well in cottonwood and aspen habitat, and really well with some snow on the ground.

I snapped this one whilst walking to the C&L reunion... sent it to my wife... who immediately asked for a ticket to come over.
Same bridge, from the water, last time I was over
It turns out that Barack & Michelle Obama had climbed it this week... and were awarded a rare honour. They were allowed to climb it without having to wear the neck to cuffs, locked suits to ensure the safety of those below. I've got a shot somewhere, from my Cooper's days, of me up there without the suit too.

OMG I shot Three rolls of 36 exposures. First round Acros black & white, next ai shot 36 exposures Velvia, color, then 36 frames in Kodak Trii-x-400 black & white = 144 shots. Personally Im not happy with any of them but Ill throw a few of the marginal ones up.

My wife (who obviously looks like Toodles Galore, if you need a mental image) said at 1pm today, "I need to see water and mountains."
And she was right. Luckily we have both, just an hour or so away. Camera was forgotten, as we piled out of the house, so I've only got a Chinese Android Phone interpretation of the scene. It'll have to do.

That's Rowardennan YH on a near-windless, not-cold day. Ben Lomond is missing his summit due to cloud at ~800m, and Spring is not quite sprung yet, up here. But it's coming.
There was a lovely moment on one of the wee beaches at around 4pm: a Muslim family, out for the peace, quiet and nature-hit, alongside everyone else, stopped at one point as the father laid out his prayer mat and did his Salat al-`Asr.
Me? I dipped my hands in the Loch and thought of "Humza", "Ramadan", "that's bloody cold" and "Ransome".
My wife later said, "Have we sailed up here?" Now, she can't ever remember where we park in carparks, so I had to point out that our Lomond adventures were actually six miles south of this point. But today we discussed boat tents and/or packing the small two-person land tent and having an adventure.
When it warms up.

no dog for scale. trust me, it is good sized.
Just a little one! I have seen photos of sitka spruce 15 ft in diameter that came out of the Douglas Channel near where I live. I was part of a group tree hug that encompassed a tree almost as big - it took 8 of us to encircle it. That tree had some tiny WR cedars next to it - only 5 ft diameter. Those were in Tashish-Kwois Provincial Park, right at the confluence for which the park is named. A worthwhile destination if your sail-n-oar or paddling adventures ever take you to Kyuquot Sound.Whoa, now that's a tree
I've got a photo of this tree, or more correctly, my ex has a photo of this tree. Agathis australis
The largest known specimen of this tree had a girth of 26.83 metres, but was lost in a fire. More wood in these things than the sequoias
