I think the bulge at the disk is wearing away, so I’m starting to feel more ambulatory. I have multiple calls in to find out the results of the MRI.

Joe and Tom and your wife, thinking of you all.
So the good news is I’m 90% back to normal. I can’t walk a mile, but I can walk to the bathroom without crawling halfway and then curl up and cry then continue, so thats an improvement.
The bad news is I have degenerative disc disease and I’ve lost a lot of the stuff thats in between my lower vertebrae.
So what am I doing about it. I’m doing PT 2 hrs twice a week for 6 weeks. Added bonus is my PT specialist is incredibly attractive, fit woman, which should make the pain of her stretching me out a little more pleasant.
I have a second opinion orthopedic specialist on the 30th

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.
I had bad neck pain in my late 50s early 60s and it took 2 surgeries and 3 fused vertebrae to fix it. Best thing I ever did. When I woke up from the second surgery my first thought was 'hey...no more pain!' It's been around 15 years and still no pain. Also have most (definitely not all) of my range of neck motion. I guess the remaining loose vertebrae over-articulate to make up for the fused ones. If the docs indicate surgery will fix I would go for it.
I was nervous about having my neck worked on. Before the surgery I asked the surgeon how many people has he killed or put in a wheelchair. He said 'none'. Good enough for me.
Still with us. She’s still very green but I’m working on Renee mentoring her. She is just incredibly sweet it’s really hard to get upset with her. But she still is always a possibility of a no show at anytime. Today she said she had a migraine and could she come in later. Everyday its a new chance for her to win an academy award![]()

Softy. She's adopted you in the sense that a cat adopts its owner.

Update wow what a difference a month makes. I'm 100% back to normal. It's weird how your brain works, just before Christmas the though of walking 3 ft was equivalent to climbing Everest. Walking to the car in the parking lot was an epic journey that required a few stops to wince with pain and allow a few tears fall down my cheek. Now I jump out of bed and walk around like nothing happened, and my brain has blocked it all out.
I'm going to PT twice a week and my therapist says my flexibility has really improved, and I'm doing my home stretches and exercises. So lets see how this plan works out.
