Breaking news.
The Seaport Marine warehouse. Is this part of the museum? I certainly hope not. A shame to have this destroyed in any case.
So not at the museum, but looks like a huge fire.
Downriver from the museum.
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.
Skiing is the next best thing to having wings.
That report is very confusing. Willow and Washington are just south of the drawbridge.... but then there is mention of Noank Shipyard & Seaport Marine which is waaaay out at the end of thee point past Ford's lobster on the opposite side of the river.
The few photos I've seen look nothing like NSY, so it must be the Seaport marine on the east side of the river, just at the beginning of the narrow section above the railroad bridge.

Ouch! Fires are not good. Hope no one died.
"Banning books in spite of the 1st amendment, but refusing to regulate guns in spite of "well regulated militia' being in the 2nd amendment makes no sense. Can't think of anyone ever shot by a book
Does this help?
I don't know Mystic at all.

Instead of arguing about it just go look at a map, fercrissakes. The fire is right at the east corner next to the bridge on Rt. 1, more or less upriver from that nice restaurant we ate at one year when we still gathered there.
Just hope they stopped it before it migrated upriver. Any fire that close to the museum is cause for worry.
A society predicated on the assumption that everyone in it should want to get rich is not well situated to become either ethical or imaginative.

Wind driven indeed, and it appears to be coming off the water where it is pretty hard to get fire fighting resources. Older dried out wood buildings on the waterfront are tough fires to fight. Be interesting to see what the cause turns out to be. The best news is nobody was hurt.

Hey it didn't get the travelift, they're still in business!
