I have seen that sort of thing before.
Usually black, and with a lower profile.
Known in pre-1997 Hong Kong as a snake boat; used for transporting people and goods between HK and the rest of China without disturbing the repose of Customs officials.
Very much the same sort of thing is used to travel across the Straits of Gibraltar.
The extraordinary number of big outboards is because some of them are hot spares.

Anybody know how boats like that handle at speed in offshore waters? Do they have a tendency to flip?
If a boat like that has to earn its buying price and running cost - I wonder what sort of legal business it can earn these costs.

I remember when we had just 35hp outboards. My friend and I wondered how big an outboard could get. We doubted 100 hp would ever come to be in an outboard.
We were only off by a few hundred horses.
