No doubt the price is also a world record for an electric production car.

I thought the whole point of electric cars was to 'save the world'.
Not much of that on show here...

I doesn't sound like I'll be able to afford it.

    “That’s diplomats. We’re not gentlemen.”
“So you lie to save your hides.”
    That’s politicians. Different game entirely.”

The subject of all modern hatches or SUVs looking the same came up elsewhere and the same is true for supercars. The design evolution has meant they are all similar in appearance now. If I saw that car I'd just imagine it was a McLaren, or look for a Corvette badge.
Luckily the Ferraris are red and the Lamborghinis have pointed bits.

pfft, the whole point with EVs is to continue moving one person in one vehicle but a bit more efficiently and much less localized air pollution. When oil production falls so will the personal auto population, EVs and all.

I would call that an 'incomplete understanding' of the tech...

The Drako Dragon has close to the same performance and costs only $220K. And it is an SUV.

    The Battista costs $2.2 million.

    Neither impresses me.
    Life is complex.

Which brings up another point. Ford is selling an electric motor kit that, with skill, can be bolted into a car or truck. It produces 500 horsepower.
Why 500? Who needs 500. My 59 Chev halfton had less than 150 and hauled or pulled everything I needed it to. I’d consider, happily, a 100 hp kit that would bolt into a late 90s Ranger or Tacoma.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Yup. You’ve seen one two million dollar car, you’ve seen ‘em all.
