    Quite an eclectic cargo on that 1770 French Cugnot truck, a barrel of bourbon and a cannon barrel. Now if it were only rear-wheel-drive the driver might better see where he was going. Mounting the boiler so it pivots with the drive wheel is certainly an interesting concept.

    Quite a few internal combustion vehicles had engines that turned with the single front wheel- the Bond Minicar was recently featured on here.
    Here's an earlier version- the 1912 Phanomobil.
