You could be right; there's certainly some selection bias. 'Bad news sells' is as true as it ever was, and an ex-professional athlete going on to have an ordinarily successful life is not news. But Paul's figures about bankruptcies, assuming they're accurate, correspond with the stereotype.

When I lived in Ann Arbor, University of Michigan football players had a graduation rate of, IIRC, c. 40-45 percent. And that was higher than most of the Big 10.

They generally weren't exactly doing academically rigorous majors.

Why? What could numbnuts possibly have to say that would be worth hearing? His opinion is worthless on any subject, and every statement he makes is a lie.

Worse, by far, he just stated publicly that he thinks it's time to toss the Constitution so he can be president again. He's admitted he's a domestic enemy of the country. The exact opposite of the explicit promise in the oath of office he once swore to protect and defend the Constitution.

Amazing that 1.7 million people, at the current count, voted for an eminently unqualified candidate for a senator who would not have represented their interests.

    Exactly.
Trump's reaction to this injury is likely to be more self-inflicted injury.

I imagine that some rational adult in trump's sphere has hidden all internet-connected devices away for at least a day or two.

Astounding to me that out of 3.5 million votes, Warnock only won by 100K.

I guess being dumber than a bagful of hammers is a feature?

It's a right wing thing, authoritarian: not only couldn't he, from lack of ability, he wouldn't, from self-interest, do anything we didn't tell him to do. That's the point. This so-called democracy or republic or whatever label you want to paste on this deep state of godless baby rapers is only something to be gotten through.

With victory -- hail victory! -- we'll have authority, and we won't need Uncle Toms. We'll rule by naked authority, which is just. Meanwhile, Herschel. Oops! . . . next.

safe bet he didn't carry the vote of 'the black baptist convention', 'the national baptist convention' nor 'the progressive national black baptist convention'

once again white elitist libs the nation over owe a debt of gratitude to black georgians

White evangelicals overall, I'd guess a very high margin. Rural white evangelicals, pretty close to all of them. The only reason this doesn't make our heads explode is that we're used to it.

But by a lot of measures, you could legitimately call Rev. Warnock himself an evangelical Christian.

Maybe the best thing about this is that it will dilute the power of Joe Manchin to screw things up.

Really is confusing. Down the road is a black couple with a year old Trump 2024 sign. I wonder if it’s a kind of social camouflage or they really are supporters.

But not a white nationalist one, AFAIK.

There are EC's, a subset of which is evangelical EC's. Both can't be right. Fundamentally, they are enemies, not allies.

Glad too that Oz lost. Too bad about Vance getting to the senate.

Trump's track records for back senatorial candidates is poor and even the GOP is noticing he is a loser.
