I read the article earlier today. It did say that a MTV group was funding a shuttle at A&M to run to the polls from campus every 20 minutes. Agree or not with Texas elections, I don't see much of a hardship.

Good on groups like this who step up to provide services to voters anywhere.

My friends and I cannot remember ever standing in a line for more than 15 minutes or so to vote. Lines longer than that should be illegal.

Is it not strange that the debate over the last couple of years has been over the legality of giving food or water to people standing on long lines rather than on the length of the lines?

I think that the longest line I've ever stood in at a polling booth was two people.

I cant imagine having to wait in whatever weather is there, for as long as some people wishing to vote have to.

Lines? What lines? In Orygone citizens are automatically registered at the DMV, precinct changes with your address, and has been vote by mail since before 1998. No fraud, just some gross incompetence such as in Clackamas county.

I dunno about Indiana, but in Ohio, campaign material and/or campaigning is prohibited within 100 feet of a polling place — there are pickets set in the form of US flags to mark the precincts of the precinct polling place.
