A Mirror 16. An interesting boat, they could probably sell a lot of plans, if they made them available.

    A quick search on boatdesign.net found this https://www.boatdesign.net/threads/m...6-build.66155/ .
I've oft thought about one, they were great boats to sail.

No need to negatively sell “art” to give compliments. I also make “art”. Like boats, there is a lot of different kinds and types of art, and someone likes them all.

The one doesn’t detract from the other.

Thank you all for the kind words. And thanks for the cool info on the Mirror. The big ones are cool, but I’d want a small one, if it were available to me.

    Nice work.
For the avoidance of confusion, that replica at Whirtby is
Our authentic replica of HMS Endeavour - which was sailed by Captain James Cook during his scientific expedition of 1768 - has been traditionally built by Whitby craftsmen and stands in the water some 40% of the ships original size.
There is now also a full size static steel copy at Whitby.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

We need a song. A Boatober carol that can celebrate the season!

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

I printed 3 or 4 and sent them to Jamie. I somehow feel that he liked them. I'm sure that they were much more appreciated than my chatty letters, I don't really do chatty.

    Dude!
Shirley you will visit before frikkin' October?

It is interesting comparing Endeavor's tidy cat 21st century backdrop to what might have been 2-1/2 centuries ago

It has always been my challenge to create a thing that looks 100 years old as soon as it is finished but not in a faux way, in an authentic way.
