Default Off the Forum a couple weeks - was NOT 'band camp'4

A while back, my Internet provider recommended I upgrade to a 'Plume' device for better speed. The first of September, the device blocked ' only ' the Woodenboat Forum. All other websites functioned flawlessly, and my efforts to correct the problem went nowhere. We met my daughter for dinner, and discussed it with her ( she is an IT guru for a major bank ) She was able to access the site without issue, but I still could not. Later in the month, I could access the Forum for a couple days , then was again blocked. I contacted the provider's IT support, and after some magic, was assured all was fixed. However, I still was unable to get to the Forum. And suddenly, two days later, gained access, and I am here posting. Can anyone venture a guess as to what was the cause of all this ?

Every 6 months or so I am unable to access our business web site. My daughter calls them up and asks that they remove me from the black site list. And all works.

I think it is all magic.

i believe it has to do with your internet provider not keeping up with the site's registry

it happens with our home internet provider once every 90 days or so and the issue lasts two or three days
when it happens and i want to access the forum i do so from my phone's internet access
sometimes, you can also work around it by accessing the forum from the woodenboat magazine webpage
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

It's just your provider looking out for you... trying to steer you away from the n'er-do-wells hereabouts

I had similar problems with Gavin Atkin's site intheboatshed.net. for almost a year. This month, miraculously, fixed.

The term "upgrade" is the world's greatest oxymoron.
