Default Kids' safety and anti-gun laws

I saw a clip of some woman running for office in some state making some comments to the press.

On the one hand, she's concerned about the safety of school children. On the other hand she's opposed to any gun regulations.

How does one fear books, but not bullets?

These seem to be extremely opposing positions. I don't understand how one mind can believe both things.
"Banning books and not guns seems backwards. Can't think of anyone ever shot by a book

Then there’s the bewhiskered tattooed hulk in Ohio smaktalkin’ about how he would defend ‘Murika in congress the way he did in Afghanistan.
Only he was never in Afghanistan.
He was loading boxes of supplies in Qatar for a few months.
The GOP, has pulled all funding from his campaign.
He now claims his Afghan records are classified.

    Poor baby.

Zero guns = zero gun deaths. Do the damn math.

Next election, vote against EVERY Republican, for EVERY office, at EVERY level. Be patriotic, save the country.

Where did books enter the equation, besides in your brain?

Seems like a no-brainer to me, she is for censorship in schools, but arming killers.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

A lot of school districts are banning a lot of books.
