    Default I couldn't say no.

My wife likes perennial gardens and has three of them around the property.
One on each side of a walkway and one out by the end of the driveway. They are
about 400 sq ft each and consist of plants, decorative rocks with a 4" deep bed of mulch covering the ground.
Last week, she said that she wanted another.
I said, "Why do you want a fourth garden? Isn't three enough?".
To which she said, "Why do you want to build a fourth boat? Isn't three enough?".

What could I say? I had no reply but to get out the tools.
First was the power brush cutter to cut down the 3' high underbrush.
That was followed by the weed wacker to cut any grass/weeds to ground level.
Then the shovel to even out the lumpy spots.
Meanwhile, she comes home with five 3' tall dwarf pines for me to plant.
Next was to lay down a plastic weed barrier over which I spread 3 cubic yards of black mulch I had delivered.
In my spare time, I built a street number sign.
    She is very happy.
    I'm exhausted.
Perennials will be planted in the spring.

The stone wall to the right is the original wall that some poor b*stard farmer built 150-200 years ago.
This poor b*stard extended it to the left when we put in a parking area many years ago.
Vermont has no shortage of rocks.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

It does look nice, but this is the line that's worth it all:

Nope, but she does ride in them.
She handled some shoveling of mulch and pushing the wheelbarrow around.
