Default I wish I had kids

The dryer vent split. Itís a stacked unit. Real cramped space and a royal pain to move.

Easiest solution would be to drop a kid back there and have them fix it. Up and over. About 9 years old so they have the hand strength and are smart enough to follow directions.

    Maybe I can foster.

You could hire a little person (formerly known as a midget). Much cheaper and no child protective services.
Without friends none of this is possible.

The procedure is to clear out the room, grease the glossy varnished floor with 303, pull the heavy upright freezer out without busting my arse, move it to the side, squeezing into the space, cleaning out the dust and dead bug corpses under the freezer, moving the stacked unit to 45 degrees, running a pipe cleaning brush up the pipe while holding the shop back hose nearby, making the repair, and sliding it all back into place. Or just move.

You have delusions about the cooperativeness of offspring.

I managed to move my stacked W/D out, and I'm old and weak. Used a hand truck under the front to help slide it out, then a lot of careful tugging. It wasn't too bad.

It'd be cheaper to fly a techie in from Germany or somewhere in a private jet than to raise a kid of your own to poke in there

Be cheaper to renovate the house such that the W/ D reside in the center of its own 20 x 20 room!

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

With some decent scaffolding/ staging you could go in from the outside. No, no . No thanks needed.

couldn't you help the wife to crawl up and over?

hold her by her ankles maybe?

get her a good headlamp first
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

That increases the chance of injury.
