    48' x 8' power dory. 3cyl diesel gives 10kts.
Quirky looking at rest, absolutely elegant underway.

I would like to chat with the designer about his ideas as to the raised deck amidships. Not exactly mainstream.

I'm surprised, but I actually like it! I normally shy away from raised decks.

I've always been quietly fond of the low-tech nature of Wharram Catamarans

The boats kind of reflect the quirkiness and individual spirit of their owners.

This is a lovely, gentle tale and well worth a watch if you have a spare 25 minutes:

I sailed a Thunderbird for five years out of Berkeley. They look pretty normal in the water.

I should have added to the post that the Wooden Boat mag is how the double expansion engine came to be fitted to the refloated water taxi.

There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.
