Default GGR 22, Guy De Bour on the rocks

Details coming out on Guy hitting the rocks, losing his boat and having to swim to shore through the breakers.

What a crappy thing to say. He may own a raceboat, but he is still a human being.
    You have no class sir.

It's very unfortunate for him, especially after all the preparation in the build up to this event.

I'd been really looking forward to seeing how his Tashiba 36 fared against the Rustlers. 10% longer waterline length and 1,500kgs heavier. I reckoned he may have been in with a good chance once they got past Cape Town.

Yeah its a bummer for him and the race.
It looks like the Tashiba 36 is built strong.
The hull is still in tact and looking at ways to get it off. Hopefully he still has a boat!

Dese ain't "race boats" like the new sleds. Old CCA designs that were designed to sail well in any conditions...make damn fine cruisers.
