I rode my bike over to an annual Antique Boat Show in a nearby town, Bay Head, NJ. This is an annual event at a local boat works, usually attracts less than 50 boats, but sometimes interesting old boats show up.
So, we had an unusual 1930's cycle boat

A boat from 1896. Was originally used as a Steamship tender in Philadelphia harbor, used silently to ferry passengers. Was always powered by an electric motor with lead acid batteries. More recently, it was converted to Lithium batteries, shaving almost 600 lbs in weight. But the Li batteries came with another set of problems, they caught fire. the boat was severely damaged in the fire and had to be restored. now it has the safer Li Phosphate batteries.
