I've killed a few in my day. And worse.. More than a few, truth be known. My wont is to leave wanton wontons wanting, won't you understand?

Unlike Boebert who's nothing but a wanton wonton wannabe.

new for me too, so ran it thru google.. hoo, boy!

    from - "www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/sep/07/lauren-boebert-says-you-can-study-lesbian-dance-theory-where-do-i-sign-up"

"Lauren Boebert, for example. She recently helped make the phrase “lesbian dance theory” go viral after telling Fox News that Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness programme is “robbing hard-working Americans to pay for Karen’s daughter’s degree in lesbian dance theory”. She didn’t come up with that phrase, to be clear. As I said, conservatives love recycling jokes and “lesbian dance theory” has been circulating among rightwingers for years now. Boebert just helped the phrase explode in popularity and become the latest anti-liberal insult.
Lesbian dance theory is obviously a meme,"

more at the link, but this is the drift..

In general I'm not into bashing people for lack of education (this really is about education not intelligence), but #5 is funny!

I did, and she is. Apparently there are more.

What I truly don't understand is how such people get funded and elected. How is that remotely electable?

Her base is also poorly educated so they'd probably not know the difference between wanton & wonton. Additionally, learning that it bugs the libtards makes it a wonderful thing - IOW a feature, not a bug.

Now if she'd only said "Pot sticker killings" - that'd be both sweet & sour... I think the groans probably just covered the sound of the egg drop.

You're right, Lee, it's a no-lose style of virtue signaling. I appreciate how well you crystallized that, thx.

it's frustrating, the reactionaries have so many natural advantages. what's easier than anti-intellectualism?

and, they are free to dabble in skyblue pseudo-intellectualism. one can always wink, it's just a put on. or is it? wink again.

According to the US Department of Education roughly 54% of the US population reads at a 6th grade level. 6th graders are generally 11-12 years old. I don't know that Americans are so much "dumb" as woefully under-educated. Based on the current Republican attacks on the education system I don't know that it is going to get better in the near future.

Homespun wisdom is one thing but celebrating a caricature of ignorance to identify with your constituents is just weird.

The kids and I were informed by a 60+ year old family member that they haven’t read a single book since high school.

    Proudly informed.

Only nerds read books. And, probably the doctors that replaced their knee and did open heart surgery on them. Maybe the people that made their phone and designed their house and…

I was absolutely positive that Michelle Bachmann was and still is an idiot. I dont think she was intentionally ignorant. Bobo spends a fair amount of time being intentionally ignorant.
