Nice photos! I expect we passed each other more than once without knowing it.

Wish I had a chance to meet more people, unfortunately our 2 and 4 year old weren’t terribly thrilled yesterday and with the heavy smoke in the air we didn’t get to stay very long. I got a solid 20 minutes to look at boats lol.

Hoping next year to bring moonbeam over

Glad I remembered to get the fenders in!
Stuck around to help clean up Monday morning then motored/motorsailed/sailed down to Kingston for the night. I saw Wonderland heading into Kingston, I think Bruce nabbed a slip, I anchored out. My wife drove up and we had Grub Hut burgers on the beach.

Had my Portage Pram to get ashore, not often I get to see Marianita in the wild.

This Doug Hylan design caught my eye.

As did this on my way home this morning. Eerily windless out there.

I felt happy to have caught the tide for the first half of my motor home especially since my formerly trusty 6hp Tohatsu is having an intermittent fuel supply problem. I put a new fuel pump in on the way up to PT (the lovely Shari came to rescue me in Port Hadlock and Amazon next-day delivered me a new pump). Ran fine until we were within sight of our slip then died. Fortunately it got going again before we ran into a neighboring mega-yacht...

Another thanks everyone for the great pics and video links! It takes a lot of the disappointment away, from not being able to make it this year as planned.

This is what greeted those of us who woke up early on Friday morning:

Oh yeah, there were boats too. This is Helma, an immaculately rebuilt 1938 Danish Spidsgatter. A finish that would put a Steinway piano to shame:

Is Helma the one the Center rebuilt a few years ago and they sold with an empty interior? Beautiful work they did!

Not sure, Hugh. The boat was originally brought to California from Denmark in the 1950's. I didn't get the whole history of the boat since then, in talking to the current owners. I do know that the work that they had done in Port Townsend took 5-6 years. Bits were replaced piece by piece until virtually the whole boat is new wood, except for the cabin top, which is original.
