    Every trailer I've ever purchased need a bit of surgery to make it fit a wooden boat. Lights, bunks, wheels, hubs. You name it. This is a great deal. No paperwork is annoying though. It's not that big of a deal to go get an affidavit of lost title / release of interest document (or whatever is applicable in your area). That and a bill of sale are needed around here to get the trailer titled and registered.

    In most New England states they don't issue or require titles for anything over 15 years old. Bill of sale is all that's required.

    Well, a new one would have all that and cost $1,500 or so...

    I do not think that you need a title for a trailer less than 3000 lbs in CT.
