George, who is cheering the news of the search and seizure of top secret materials? It’s good they got it after TFG’s history of undermining numerous institutions and accepted practices but cheering this would be like cheering that a serial rapists other victims were discovered.

I expect that TFG will run again, but that doesn't mean that the Republican party will select him as their candidate again. He lost to Biden last time and I doubt that he has gained many more votes since then. Also Rupert Murdoch appears to have decided to back DeSantis next election.

I don’t care whether you call it a raid or a dance party mixer. The point was to first re-secure ultra sensitive documents that Trump left laying around his swimming pool where foreign nationals gather regularly. His lawyer swore they had been returned; they weren’t. Now if he’s found guilty of knowingly taking them, lock him up.

The president who had the foresight to bar the White House photographer from his presence on January 6th, and leave no trail of telephone calls that day, seems unlikely to have left incriminating evidence lying around Mar-a-Lago. For a man so zealous in pursuit of his self-interest, that would be an astonishing lapse.

My take is that he's left plenty of evidence of his crimes, but wasn't prosecuted because he was president. Now it's taking some time to catch up, but there's more than one grand jury investigating him. Yeah, he wants to run again, it's one way he could stay out of jail.
