turn on tv this am and hear reports of more gun violence

It was on while I was making breakfast, so I didn't catch all the details, but there were two incidents since yesterday's parade.

We seem to have reached a point where breaking news would be going 24 hours without someone getting shot.

I did a quick search online and only founds shootings with deaths at 1 or 2 per incident, so just the usual...

I did find an NPR article that said there have been 27 school shootings so far this year and it was dated May 24!

I've suggested the various media keep a running total for the year, but they've not done so.
