Something put a bee in my bonnet this morning for the Swede 55
And of course the Columbia Sabre (though that cabin design has not aged well)
What else is out there with a strong L/B ratio?

Granuaile, an LFH 'Marco Polo', was 5:1.

A friend had a Columbia Sabre (many years ago). It was sometimes referred to as a 5.5 metre, no idea if it really qualified for that.
And then there’s Dashew.

The International 510 designed by C. Raymond Hunt had a L/B ratio of more than 6:1

Elvestrom's "Aphrodite 101" is fairly long and lean: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/aphrodite-101

Long and lean, the color of the sun and his eyes were green

No one here has mentioned the Square Meters: 22 Square Meter, 30 Square Meter etc. Wooden Boat magazine featured the Square Meters several years ago. Then there was the Universal Rule "Q" class. I saw Tageata (sp) many years ago, named for one of the Seven Sisters of mythology and one of the stars in the Pleiades. A real beauty, built in 1930. I wonder if she still exists.
“Pirate” Ted Geary R boat. Races every week here.

I thought my boat was skinny @ 4.16:1.
Paul Rollins built a 50' yawl for his own use that was 5:1. I believe a forumite bought it.

Not quite as long and lean as some (7.9 x 32.6 ft) but I've always loved the looks of the Aphrodite 101.

Yep, I thought my boat was "long and lean" but it's only 3.8:1. That's practically "tubby" for this thread!
But it does have a Displacement/Length ratio in the "ultralight" category, and a SA/Displacement ratio of 24:1, which might make up for it a bit.

I know there are many who cannot get past their boxy looks. My own father hated them. But I love the International 110

The origin of the Lake Union Duck Dodge in 1974 was a grudge match between a Blanchard Sr. Knockabout and an International 110. The 110 beat me, but not by much.![]()
I never got to sail one, but they look like an absolute HOOT!
I spent a lifetime in skinny boats, brought my kids up sailing on one built 1907, even our modern from 1975 is narrow by todays standards. 45 ft x 12 ft 6.
But they do always punch above their weight speed wise, just no room inside and you pay the marina managers by the metre .
We worked out a couple of decades ago we could get two classics in a modern berth but no, says Mr Manager, that would be not right.
41 ft of 8 ft something.

Funny looking at that pic..., boat kids from front, superyacht mate / second skipper somewhere in the med, builder on the gold coast AU, junior Naval Architect. Last one is mine.

Another one, Grahame Shannon's Slingshot 34. I couldn't find much on the net so this is from my stash of designs saved from Cruising World magazine. Some may not like the big vertical stern, but overall I think it's a great looking boat.

Big vertical transoms put the rudder in a very good place. We even have that vestigal bustle/ skeg arrangement on ours as well, puts a gudgeon right down where it wants to be too.

Daing, I thought this was a great description about moi!
I remember taking the ferry from Woods Hole to Nantucket (I hope I remember that correctly) and on the way we passed a 110 sailing along, just the skipper and the boat. It runs a bit contrary to the hull designs I favor, but there is no denying it was lovely as it cut through the waves.
