Is that the way it is normally said? As an ignorant American, I'm not familiar with the celebration, but I do wish our Canadian friends a good day for their celebration.

Happy Canada Day!
Please take a moment to be thankful that you live in a relatively sane & civilized first world country - unlike your neighbor to the south.

When I was a kid, it was called Dominion Day but Canada Day will do.
Things are going to be interesting in downtown Ottawa, some of the freedom convoy types are back. I am staying in the suburbs. Was going to go to the cottage but the wife has eye surgery booked for the 4th and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to travel for two or three days with the price of gas being in the $ 2 per litre range.
I hear they've got half the world's freshwater, should you paddle your canoe.
What color are their hands now?

There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.
I thought pretty much everything in Ontario is closed for Canada Day.
Happy so far, but the day is young

That’s why we had to banish them. If you could train them to pass properly we’d gladly take them back. Oh, wait a minute...they’’d need to present their covid cards to Canada Customs. My bad.
Happy Day, everyone!
Believe me, lately I’ve been in a mood to cross over one of our bridges and join the fun in a more permanent way…

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.
Best wishes!
There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.
Enjoy your National Day Canada.

Didn't even make the news here in Manitoba.
But thanks for the good wishes, everyone - I am more profoundly grateful than ever that Canada opened its doors and its arms to my family.
What are you doing about it?
