One of the most enduring qualities of an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing.
There must be a cool trick to getting a proper image onto the forum from an iPhone but I don’t know what it is. More better later.

The first photo-post was great - can see folks faces, water, a vessel rigged for sailing - what more could one ask for ?
Kudos to all the participants ( y'all got there ! ! ! )

Thanks putting up this thread. 2 Skippers, Gilligan, the Professor and Thurston Howell III. Most excellent!

Faces in deep shadow, and posted from a screen grab. Someone needs to learn to use his phone.
Tap on the faces and watch the phone adjust the exposure so they show up. Then slide the exposure adjustment so the sky is not completely blown out.
Now take the photo.
Now go to your photos app and find the photo. Hit the share button and choose Copy.
Go to the forum and find the place to post. Tap the space for your message and choose paste.
OR
Go to the forum and tap the little photo icon. Tell the forum that you want to choose a photo from your computer. Find the photo on your phone and select it. Tell the forum to upload it.
Save you posting.

This is one of the places I'd like to get back to one more time, but I'm not at all sure it's in the cards. It really depends on how much help wife's CPAP is, and if she gets it on schedule July 12. We got the date moved up from Sept 14 with two of her doctors helping.
We would like to make it a three day outing. One day to drive up, possibly taking a detour and taking the ferry from Port Jefferson. Stay over that night someplace within an hour from the seaport. Visit the seaport and aquarium; maybe the village. Sleep over and drive home the next day.
All depends on wife's health.

Lobsters, lobster rolls and conversation at Abbot’s. I do hope someone will include a photo of me with the giant lobster. It was epic but a once in a lifetime occurrence.

Yar. That be me.
paul is just a little melancholy in that portrait because he is either on a beer-only diet, or he already finished his tray.
either way, relatable.
