    That is a fascinating photograph. Thank you for posting it.

    Old time aspect ratio, but loose footed. Mizzen reefed to allow spinnaker to catch the breeze. Absolutely gorgeous!

    It's great for the photo, but I wonder if that mizzen spin is actually doing much for the boat apart from keeping crew entertained. If there's enough breeze to keep it full when it's fouled on the backstay like that, I doubt they'd lose a tenth of a knot if they doused it.
    What color are their hands now?

    She's a lovely boat. I thought that the overhangs came into play when the boat heeled.
    There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.

    I learnt to judge boat speed from where the hull wave reached on Waione's counter, either on it or behind it. Fastest was always broad reach .
