Churches and schools- the two places where you can be assured that your victims are unarmed and defenceless, in a confined space and have nowhere to hide. JayInOz

I'm on the governing board of my Episcopal Church. We are talking with a parishioner who is a retired member of the Vermont State Police about "hardening" our church from attack. Can you imagine that? The need to "harden" a house of love and peace from some crazy coming in and shooting up the place?
Short of putting armed guards at all entrances (that ain't gonna happen), we are screwed if someone shows up with a gun.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Sadly, in these times it seems all too believable.

And he had brass ones. You have to know he took a big chance because others needed him to.

It seems we're getting used to it. People say, "It's not who we are," despite all evidence to the contrary.

Why would GOD not keep people safe inside a church?

For a system based on faith, many members don't have any.
