Second question - do any of you really care?
Answer: No. Esp. about kardashians. And bit coin. And nft's.

Jim, my take:
An attempt to approach a working connection between quantum and relativistic physics, both of which are correct. Whether this link works is up for debate.
A modern-day tulip fascination, this time with extreme environmental harm.
Are they in Star Trek?
Yes.
See 'bitcoin'. No faith, no value.

String theory? Somewhat
Bit coin? Yes / No and I own some but I’m not looking at it lately
Kardashians? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Nuclear fission? Or is it fusion? Well each of them are completely opposite of the other.
NFTs? Yes but I think they are incredibly stupid. Oh and the art is really really amateur

Art is only one type of Non Fungible Token. Besides, it’s probably the blockchain part that’s most confusing.![]()
Is this a Turing test?
^ and the blockchain part of NFTs and bitcoin are what is using gigawatts of energy.
No, there are better things to understand.
^ what Andy said.
But I was trained in PWRs, so I should understand fission.

1. - Well, I’m no Brian Greene
2. - Kinda. Like Joe said, I have a smidgeon and don’t pay any attention to it at all.
3. - Only difference between them and bitcoin is that I don’t have any Kardashians.
4. - I get the mechanics of it. What else?
5. - Nope… not a damn bit.
"String theory?"
Nope, but my nephew used to talk about it with Hawking, and his 15 year old daughter seems to he reckons.
No
No
Don't care
There's a difference
What are NFT's?
There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.
No, not really.

As a lapsed Catholic, what I don't get is the Holy Trinity. Is there one God or are there three? Can't have it both ways.
And who/what the heck is the Holy Ghost? Other than allegedly impregnating Mary, what does it do for the good of humankind, and how did it achieve 'God' status? I'm sure there is a carefully-constructed 'explanation' but nothing that passes the plausibility test. Maybe the Holy Ghost is like the vice-president, who has a single purpose (get the president elected) and hereafter should sink into the background and not cause trouble.
And another burning question: Is Goofy a dog or a human? Is Goofy sterile like a mule?

Wrong question.
Just ask, or better yet, make an assertion about any of those topics, or any other, and the Forum will flood you with answers and opinions.

So yes while this is generally considered true, take the case of a string running from the North pole to the South pole. (String theory is used to describe the extremes where normal theories fail after all.) So seeing the string can not go through the earth (It's a string, how could you run it through the earth?) So while that string will appear at any given point to be straight and flat earthers will deny it there will be a arc to the string. The General Theory of Boat Building String is that a string, stretched tight, between two points, or two straight edges, is always straight.
I hope you guys do understand tongue in cheek. I've 9 hours before my weekend.
I can only claim understanding of bitcoin and NFT’s. Both are fully explained by the ‘greater fool’ theory.
"Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."
String theory? Yep, you can tie tulip leaves up with string.
Bit coin? Anyone want to buy some tulips?
Kardashians? they are daft enough to buy tulips?
Nuclear fission? Or is it fusion? It will fry the tulips.
NFTs? More tulips...

Just an amateur bodging away..
String theory is BS. Nuclear fusion and fission are cool. The rest is clickbait.
