    I have a Spectra Physics one. Not quite consumer level, more building pro. Not visible, so one has to use a receiver, so not much use in the boatshop. But spectacular on building projects. I once checked it out over 100 mtrs and the vertical spread at that range was about 5mm or less.

    Also have a couple of little red ones, one in a level and one that just sits on a protractor to measure angles. Both quite useful.
