Next Boat is probably going to have a keel. But the ability to haul out on a beach is a nice, here I wanted to scrape a carpet of mussels off before putting her on a trailer after two years of deferred maintenance.

Nah. Sand is hell on droids. Why do you think that first R2 unit Uncle Owen tried to buy from the jawas had a bad motivator? The lesson is clear: beach cruising and droids don't mix.

Sure. But, a two person tent would fit RIGHT on the platform, there, door to the main hull. Or, a body could use the spars as a ridge pole of sorts for a simpler tarp. I think it would paddle okay, and maybe even sail, a bit.

Just don’t build one of of sus ply because you can get it…

Why would a droid need a tent? Especially and astromech, made to work in space?

It is a working model for a boat I think would be a great beach cruiser, though. With the flare and rocker and asymmetry to the main hull, it looks nicer than is should for such a dumb simple shape.

It’s currently being sailed by a small stuffed cat, flying the outrigger. And the sail is laced on now, and the ghastly electrical tape is gone.
