it’s a beautiful sunny day. Hot, humid and I’m wearing five lbs of freezer packs.

Forecast high here in north Georgia today is 98f with heat index to 106. My thermometer now says 93.2 and weather service shows 49% humidity.
Not too bad 90F at 4:30 PM, kind of humid but not oppressive. It’s a little early for a heat wave but I guess we better get used to it.

The Weather Service now says it was 99f at the airport 4.5 miles north of me 1/2 hour ago. My thermometer topped out at 93 and is now down to 91. This place is surrounded by woods, unlike the airport.
We're at 33C with pretty high humidity.
Nice breeze off the Greatest Lake Of All Time, but the water is still chilly.

15C and back to rain. We had 3 days of not rain.
we had .55 inches of rain on january 10th
since then we have had 158 days of not rain
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
Back around then sometime we had 170mm (or more than 6 inches )in 5 or 6 hours. It was pretty feral.
A bit of a counterpoint, isn't it.

56F 89% humidity with a light rain falling. This time yesterday I was buttoning up the shop to go for a sail, no jacket required for the first time in a long while.

Peaked near 90f briefly today. Thunderstorms as a cold front approached. Now in the low 70s headed for the 60s.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.
Hot and sunny, 95 here earlier, it is just 8 o'clock and we are down to 89. It is supposed to be 20 degrees cooler for the weekend, but still bright and sunny.

Been hot here all week. 41°C yesterday and getting there today. House old stone and cool, so keeping the shutters nearly closed.
Likely cooling off tomorrow with o/cast and showers/thunder and strong gusts. Rest of next week similar in the mid 20s. Back to work!
33C yesterday, 13C today...

At the opposite end of NZ from John B, 3C overnight low, we might manage a 10C high this week, and we've really not had much rain - on the east coast. Over them thar mountains, the west coast has taken a bit of a pummeling recently - amazing what a difference a mere 150km makes.

I didn't want to jinx anything, but we had 72-78 & sunny for a week - AKA perfect. F'n today was a high of 46 & rain. Now 44 & I have the woodstove going. 2 hours of watching Little League in the cold drizzle was delightful.
