Do what Ike did in 1945. March the citizens through the camps. Force them to see the horrendous damage done while they lived their lives in feigned ignorance.

Make each senator or congressperson view the crime scene photos from Sandy Hook, Stoneman Douglas, and Uvalde. Reading the phrase “soft tissue damage” is meaningless compared to a child’s body blown in half, arms amputated, or skulls removed. Damage done by multiple wounds created within seconds.

Sounds like "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" (short story/parable by Ursula K. Leguin). People are forced to look at an imprisoned isolated child, whose extreme misery enables everyone else's happiness.

In the story, very few people are bothered by that enough to walk away from the city. I suspect a vanishingly small number of Republicans, if any, would change either.

Ike had the huge advantage of a large occupying army that could compel the Germans to do what he wanted. There would be a big public outcry if TV news started showing pictures of dead kids. Congress, OTOH, could see the pictures on Power Point in congressional hearings.
