Default Adding a signature block to my forum posts

I searched the FAQ but didn't see how to include a pre-written sig block to my posts.

I googled and found this article:
    https://www.howtodothings.com/comput...tures-sig.html

But this seems to be missing from the WB forum:

Add your Signature to Your Profile.

Once your forum signature has been coded, all you need to do is add it to your profile. To do this, go to the forum and sign-in. Once you are signed in, click on the profile button or another area where you can change your personal information.

In this area, you should find a signature box. Paste your signature code into this area...

I see others using sig blocks. How do we do this?

    Thanks.

There may be another way, but here's how I do it. For some reason Scot has "hidden the "Settings" link- but it's still there. In the upper right corner, you'll see Notifications, My Profile, and Log out. If you hover your mouse pointer over the space between My Profile & Log out, you'll see a small square highlight & the pointer change to a hand shape. Click on that square & the Settings page comes up. Over on the left, you'll see My Profile and below it Edit Signature.

Click on Edit Signature to change yours. Enter the text/graphics in the large entry area & click Save Signature.

When done, click on whatever link in the top you normally use for browsing the forum. One thing about the Settings page (the first one you see after clicking on the square) is that it lists all threads you've replied to. In fact, I use this as my base page for the forum.

As far as I can tell, Scot, there is no "User Control Panel" as refd in the FAQ. Can you show us where that is?

Garrett, I hovered and see the hidden link. Clicked on that, but it goes to the Forums page. I still don't see a Settings page.

Can you paste in the URL for the settings page for us here?

    Thanks.

You'll see that in the FAQ, click Settings and Profile Features, and then you'll see the more detailed info from post #5

OR... you can go in from the Forum Header tabs: Forum Actions --> Edit Profile

    http://forum.woodenboat.com/usercp.php

Seems it's called the User control panel in the URL, but it says "Settings". Oh Well.

I get there by clicking on this square (I added the red arrow):

You have to be logged in to get to the page I think.

The forum programming was outdated in the 90s. They have patched it together over the years.

Actually - that's not true. Yes, they are using an older version of vBulletin, but the software is sold by a company still in business & doing well.

Besides - it's worth every penny I've paid for it & I thank WB & Scot for providing it for us.
